“Culture is the glue that holds society together. It is the collective conscience and memory from which identity is created and unity of purpose is gained. To propagate this culture, its stories, images, sounds, smells and textures must be preserved for future generations, so they too can feel that they belong. Alwaraqoon is helping this process through their various publications and intricate and artistic photography. From beautiful Oman to the interior of Saudi and the shores of Bahrain and beyond. It is through their lens that our rich heritage, culture and traditions are preserved. All ultimately bound in beautifully produced books which would enrich any library, and be the centre of conversations on coffee tables. I am truly privileged to own several of these publications. I have habitually gifted them to valued colleagues who enthusiastically shared our culture in their own circles and thus, increased understanding, and our culture’s magic, way beyond our shores.
